Aug 12 2019

CANCELLED:

We regret to announce that the salon event, A Conversation with the Honourable Minister Leela Aheer, scheduled for September 10th, 2019, has been cancelled. The Minister’s office has recently expressed to PACE that she is now unavailable to attend the event.

PACE apologizes that this event could not go forward as planned; we were truly looking forward to this discussion and opportunity to hear more about the current government’s plan and vision for the arts and culture sector.

PACE remains committed to offering educational opportunities such as this one to artists living and working in the Edmonton area, and we welcome your suggestions for future salon topics.

Should you have any questions regarding this announcement, or about PACE in general, please contact us at admin@pacedmonton.com

Thank you for your understanding, and we apologize again for the inconvenience.

On September 10th at 7:30pm, the Professional Arts Coalition of Edmonton (PACE) will host a moderated discussion with the Honourable Leela Aheer, Minister of Culture, Multiculturalism and the Status of Women. The event will be held at Studio 96 (10909 96 Street NW) in Edmonton. Doors at 7pm.

Please join us for what is sure to be an engaging and insightful discussion moderated by Annetta Latham, Assistant Professor in Arts and Cultural Management at MacEwan University. The Minister will provide information and updates on the Government of Alberta’s plan for the arts and culture sector, ahead of the release of the provincial budget in the fall. Light refreshments will be provided.

Admission by donation. Seating is limited so make sure you arrive early.

PACE is a not-for-profit arts education organization, run by a volunteer board of directors. Serving the professional arts community in the greater Edmonton region since 1986, PACE coordinates the ArtsVote campaign during municipal elections and hosts a number of salons (or forums) on topics of strong interest to the Edmonton arts community.
