Hello, Alberta’s Dance Community!
Today the board and staff of the Alberta Dance Alliance are proud to announce the launch of our new website. It is a collaborative effort and we are looking forward to hearing your feedback as we update site content to meet the needs of the community. I’d like to point out the FAQ and Bulletin pages, as they offer members a new way to connect around knowledge and needs. If you have a question, ask us and we’ll post and refine the answer in an ongoing effort to make life easier for our community. If you have a notice to post, that isn’t a calendar event, you can do this as a Bulletin (just like the bulletin board at your studio).
Members now have the ability to host a profile that includes videos of their work and ways for companies and the public to connect with them as part of the Alberta Dance Directory (you can toggle your inclusion in the directory in your member settings). These media materials, including document downloads, allow members to build an electronic press kit with ADA so presenters and collaborators can view their profile to start a dialog. Members can post jobs, and add their events for inclusion on the DanceLink Online Calendar and for the opportunity of inclusion in upcoming DanceLines eNews mailouts.
Please direct all questions, comments, and concerns to Nicholas at the Alberta Dance Alliance office. There will be bugs as we get everything up and running so if anything appears to be broken, not working or doesn’t make sense please let me know ASAP.
