Across Oceans facilitates & produces international arts platforms in Canada & worldwide to delight in the collaboration between artists, individuals & communities through the arts.
In conventional theatres, galleries, art centres, factories, rice fields, harbours, city streets, programming includes live performance, advanced training & research, 2-D & 3-D art exhibits, film/video screenings, public forums. Created for specific environments & communities, interactions are of highest artistic excellence with acclaimed performing, visual & literary artists.
Based in Toronto, Canada and reaching Across Oceans, since 1996, projects have included Canada, many EU countries, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, USA, Venezuela, Viet Nam- across arts, genres, abilities, generations, backgrounds, heritages.
Collaboration - in the deepest sense of the word: the coming together of people with different perspectives, experiences, & training, artists & audience, to discover convergences & create relevant expressions that reflect their creative interchanges.
