“Memoir and Movement- Building material towards performance.” with Sara Porter
Each class, Sara guides participants through a variety of improvisational movement work to warm up the body and awaken the senses. Followed by creative writing: gathering images, recording sensation and story, to expand imaginative scope. Voice work brings text into action, and each participant begins to craft that day’s story, building multi-disciplinary modes of delivery to integrate these forms into performance. Choreographic structures – blended with improvisation – supports presenting material at the end of each class.
For artists of all experience levels.
