Quick + Dirty: A Festival of Emerging Artists and Ideas

Hot on the the heels of a two-month, dance filmmaking creative intensive, Dancers’ Studio West is proud to premiere seven poignant new films at our 2nd Annual, online Quick + Dirty: A Festival of Emerging Artists and Ideas. These urgent films originate and emerge from inquires of imagination, time, gender, culture and more. This year’s artists are:

Cindy Ansah : “Sanctum.”

Maxime Beauregard: “Percep[T]ion”

Kara Bullock : “Bowness” feat. Johanna Vrielink

Branden “Busy Rock” Cha : “Manpashikjeok 만파식적: The Flute to Calm Ten Thousand Waves” feat. Matthew “Creeasian” Wood

Shondra Cromwell-Krywulak and Shayna McCord : “French Vanilla with Chocolate Sprinkles”

Barbara England : “Here I am, there I’ll be (waiting)”

Angela Gladue : “ᐃᐢᐱᒋᐃᐧᐣ (ispiciwin) – The Journey”

Join us, the artists and their collaborators on May 14th @ 7 pm MDT for the first screening! We’ll have a live chat going so you can cheer on, toast and congratulate the artists in real time. If you can’t make that date, don’t worry! The films will be available on-demand until 11:59pm, May 23rd.
