IDD 2026: Contemporary dance class with Good Women Dance Collective

GWDC’s training program includes ongoing weekly company classes, instructed by collective artists and local guest artists. These classes foster a sense of community for practicing professionals, something valued in a province that feels isolated from other artistic hubs in the country. The classes anchor the collective and allow the artists to discover common interests in terms of physicality and movement qualities. Classes are consistently attended by both professional artists and members of the broader arts community, meaning that this training benefits the talented and committed pool of professional dance artists in the community. GWDS instructors use body neutral, judgment-free terminology and do not teach gendered roles to participants.
