Indigenous Hoop Dance for Adults

This workshop is to introduce Indigenous dance styles and Hoop Dance to dancers/movers of all genres and abilities. The workshop will share the fundamental movements of hoop dance, offer cultural history, and introduce creative movement. This workshop is to engage reconciliation through dance by sharing Indigenous dance culture with Indigenous and non-Indigenous participants.
Participants will warm up with powwow styles, and move into learning hoop dance, and finish with creating their own hoop dance routines.
