Art, now more than ever: 2021-26 Strategic Plan (Canadian Council for the Arts)

Apr 21 2021

ADA re-posting from Canadian Council for the Arts.
The conversations and exchanges we had with many of you informed our 2021-26 Strategic Plan, Art, now more than ever. We are pleased to share our plan with you today.

Written during the pandemic, the plan is a call to rebuild a stronger, more sustainable, more resilient, and more equitable sector together. It draws on the strengths of innovation, social impact, and the leadership of artists, cultural workers, groups, and arts organizations.

Art, now more than ever is guided by three directions:

  • invest in rebuilding and innovation;
  • amplify the benefits of the arts for society; and
  • nurture and expand collaboration and partnerships.
For the next five years, we are aiming for the emergence of a firmly supported, recognized, resilient, accessible, equitable, and inclusive sector.

Now more than ever, we need the arts. Over the next five years, the Council will continue to ground its activities in the belief that the arts have the power to touch and transform all of us.

We invite you to read and share Art, now more than ever.
