Acclaimed Artists Residing in Western Canada Perform Exciting Experimental Dance Works

Dec 17 2019

ReLoCate’s Experiment #4 Friday, January 10th and Saturday, January 11th at 8 p.m. at Spazio Performativo (10816 – 95 St.)

Edmonton, AB  In 2019-20, Mile Zero Dance (MZD) has been asking artists if the fragility of the human body acts as a catalyst for hope or change in the looming climate disaster, with Field Guide to Dance in the Anthropocene.

ReLoCate’s Experiment #4 explores resilience, experienced by artists, individuals, communities or species of the planet as a whole, questioning who may be empowered and/or enabled for survival in the face of extreme challenges. Tackling a concern which touches humanity on both intimate and global scales, the performances enter into choreographic and improvisational methods through a tri-city exchange of ideas. In expanding the discourse in Canadian Contemporary dance, ReLoCate will perform in Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton.

The participating artists are Marie France Forcier (Calgary), James Gnam (Vancouver), Melanie Kloetzel (Calgary), and Thea Patterson (Edmonton)

Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. For tickets, https://bit.ly/2EbaQxy
