DESCRIPTION:LET’S ENJOY THE OUTDOORS – RESPONSIBLY :)(Max of 100 people. First come first serve)!  \nTickets to our summer sessions have been free and will stay that way for now as we are still battling the pandemic and accessibility is at the core of what we do! However\, your donations\, if you can afford to support\, would mean the world!  \nFor this special edition of “Afro Dance with Ivan”\, 50% of the donations will be split across Black Women United YEG\, Beaver Hills Warriors & Black Lives Matter YEG. You can e-transfer me at touko@ualberta.ca and please make sure you mention “Afro Dance in the park” in the message/note 🙂 \n*Covid-19 safety guidelines in effect* \nWhat to have with you (if you want/can): A water bottle\, comfortable shoes\, athletic or comfortable activewear and a towel. OR just show up as you are! \nAfro Dance with Ivan are open level Afro Fusion dance sessions bringing you the hottest Afro dance moves and styles filled with energy\, passion and lots of laughs.​ Come have a great time in a joyful environment while learning some hot new moves (that your friends have probably never seen) in a choreographed format to slay on the dance floor or at home :)!  \nWe welcome everyone from all walks of life\, including all levels from beginners to experienced dancers. These workshops will break down and allow you to practice some of the most basics yet challenging moves that form the vocabulary of many popular African dance styles such as: Loketo\, Makossa\, Azonto\, Coupé Décalé\, Zanku\, Shaku\, Kuduro\, Gwara Gwara\, Zanku\, Bikutsi and many more!
