Mile Zero Dance (MZD) is a fast-paced, broad minded company that thrives on integrating contemporary and experimental dance into today’s culture. We are welcoming submissions from artists, collectives, curators and collaborators practicing in all artistic media to exhibit work in our 12’ x 10′ x 19′ Spazio Gallery. This busy, multipurpose gallery has approximately 20 linear feet of wall space, three 5′ x 9′ storefront windows and beautiful wood floors. We are also accepting mural proposals for our 26’ studio wall. MZD seeks work that resonates with contemporary dance, movement and performance. We can accept a limited number of sculptural or projection pieces, but it is advised to contact us prior to applying.
Artist receptions are provided by MZD, and include light refreshments, cash bar, and social media marketing. All display materials and technological needs must be provided by the artist. Submissions must include the following:
– Artist statement
– Curriculum Vitae and/or Artist Bio
– Social media handles
– Up to 5 examples of recent work (high quality JPEG, photographs, USB, MOV) with titles, media, date and dimensions
– Description of the proposed exhibition (including title, theme, medium, number of
pieces, method of display)
