Toronto Dance Theatre seeks new Artistic Director to move the company forward starting in its 2020/21 season.
Toronto Dance Theatre is one of Canada’s most established contemporary dance organizations, distinguished by its unique repertoire of original works and by its exceptional ensemble of performing artists. Currently in its 52nd season, and led by choreographer Christopher House since 1994, the company shares its studios and theatre in Toronto’s Cabbagetown with the affiliated School of Toronto Dance Theatre. In addition to the creation, production and presentation of new works, TDT serves as a catalyst for research, shared learning and artistic risk in Toronto, across Canada and internationally.
The search committee invites bold proposals that describe how the applicant’s vision for TDT’s future will enhance and further the company’s values and impact goals. Applications will be considered from both those focused on their own choreographic practice and those interested in a broader curatorial vision.
Please carefully review the full job posting and submit your application to the Search Committee through Jane Marsland at firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications must be received by 4 p.m. EST, Thursday November 7, 2019 for consideration.
The Board encourages applications from women, racialized, indigenous, 2SLGBTTQ+, Deaf persons and individuals with disabilities. The studios and offices of TDT are unfortunately not currently wheelchair accessible.
