The March 2, 2020 Grant deadline is for both the Alberta Foundation for the Arts Dance Projects Grant and Queen’s Golden Jubilee Scholarship (dance) stream for individual dance artists, students, administrators, and designers is fast approaching. Training applicants may apply to both.
Dance applicants may apply under one of the following categories: Art Creation, Training / Career Development, Research, and Marketing. Tip sheets on how to formulate a project description, budget as well as to view Expert Panel (jury) comments from past grant deadlines can be found at Helpful Resources (scroll down to the bottom of page).
To obtain a User Name, Password and instructions for the online grant system, please email a request to registartionAFA@gov.ab.ca and provide your email address and program name – Dance Projects Grant program. While you are waiting to receive your Username and Password, which is generated manually and takes a few days to receive, please complete the required grant documents that you will need to attach to your online application.
To formulate a proposal you will need to prepare the following:
- Applicant background (half page approx.)
- Project description 2-3 pages max.
- Letters such as acceptance letter or email to training program or mentorship, letter(s) of support, letter(s) confirming collaboration if applicable e.g. art creation partnership
- Video support material on a USB drive
- Applicant Resume or Bio
