DESCRIPTION:Shumka Minis – Ages: 3–5 $130\nInstructor: Peter Eeles \nThe youngest “Shumka Dancers in training” will begin a journey of Ukrainian dance as they are introduced to the culture\, folklore and dance that go along with our rich Ukrainian heritage. All activities and crafts have a strong Ukrainian cultural and educational focus. Themes and concepts are reinforced throughout the week in a logical\, creative\, and enjoyable manner. Campers perform a full concert at the end of the week\, including a regional Ukrainian dance and an art show display. \n  \nMotion Mania – Ages: 6–8 $325\, 9–12 $350 \nInstructors:\nTasha Orysiuk\, Nikolai Lychak \nIf you like being active and on the move\, then this is the camp for you! Campers\nwill experience a variety of age appropriate adventures such as laser tag\,\nswimming\, rock climbing\, gymnastics\, go-carting\, and the jungle gym. This is\npaired with 15 hours of high-quality Ukrainian dance training and choreography\,\nculminating in a dance concert at the end of the week for families.

DESCRIPTION:It is with great pleasure that we\, Tania and Vishal Malpuria of SPARQ PRODUCTIONS\, invite you to our milestone year 10th Annual ONE – A DANCE SPECTACLE to be held at the ARTS COMMONS JACK SINGER CONCERT HALL on June 20th\, 2019 starting at 7pm. Part proceeds to benefit the CANADIAN TRANSPLANT ASSOCIATION in support of Organ & Tissue Donation Awareness. This invitation is extended on behalf of all the outstanding performers who have come together to support this endeavor. \nONE – A DANCE SPECTACLE promises an immense array of dynamic and visually stunning performances from some of Alberta’s most accomplished and promising artists. This exciting and unique presentation will showcase circus performers\, tribal belly dance\, theatrical pieces\, Hip hop\, Bollywood\, Chinese Folk\, Collaborative pieces\, Contemporary\, Salsa and many more. Like a jigsaw puzzle\, the performances of this evening will piece together seamlessly\, all the while portraying a beautiful relationship between and amongst different genres and cultures. DESCRIPTION:CALGARY ALBERTA\, May 26th\, 2019 – Tasha Lawson\, Artistic director of Tri-Tone Productions\, is excited to announce the 2nd Annual National Tap Day Celebration.  \nTri-Tone Productions has partnered with the Jaimie Hill & Tammy-Lynn Powers Memorial Foundation\, to bring together the Alberta Tap Dance Community for a rhythmic extravaganza!\nHonouring the legacy of Tap Legend\, the late Bill “Bojangles” Robinson\, over 60 Tap dancers from across the province gather to present an eclectic evening of rhythm. An all ages concert with performances by inspired youth and professional artists. The evening includes music selections of jazz greats\, classical icons\, and contemporary artists. \nThe focus of the concert\, is to develop a vibrant\, inspired\, and unified tap dance community\, to create a platform for the creation and presentation of new work\, and to advance and celebrate rhythm tap and the percussive arts in Alberta. Tap Day connects rhythmic artists of all ages\, enriching community connections. \nNational Tap Day was first presented to U.S. Congress on February 7\, 1989 and was signed into US-American law by President George H.W. Bush on November 8\, 1989. It is now celebrated internationally every year\, from Tokyo to New York City and throughout Canada\, Europe and Asia. Tap dance enthusiasts\, students\, and professionals come together to celebrate the art form with performances\, workshops\, tap jams and more.
