SUMMARY:AB Dance Relaunch: Implementing the Provincial Recommendations (Zoom® Meeting)
DESCRIPTION:Community members have been sharing with us their plans for relaunching in the fall and others have been wondering what that ought to look like. We are going to open the floor for sharing ideas\, pivoting strategies\, anxieties\, and largely clarifying how members of Alberta’s dance community are implementing the provincial guidelines for relaunch in addition to what they feel is necessary for their particular practice or environment/venue. On Friday\, July 31st from 1-3 p.m.\, join us for a community discussion around relaunching dance in Alberta. Click here for more information and to register! \n\n\nThe Questions:\n\n• What has the process been for you or your organization to “stay working” for relaunch\, including policy/process\, budget\, and contracts?\n\n• How are you anticipating adjusted timelines for rehearsals and/or performances?\n\n• What barriers or course corrections have you experienced with implementing your relaunch\, balancing provincial guidelines with your community’s habits/concerns?\n\n• Are you preparing for a second wave of economic shutdown and another relaunch? Please take a look at the document and let [CADA/West] know what you think via email.” \n  \nA session for sharing how Alberta’s individuals and organizations in dance (for-profit and non-profit) are taking responsibility for meeting the relaunch guidelines set out by the Alberta government: https://open.alberta.ca/dataset/covid-19-information-guidance-for-live-music-dance-and-theatre \nPlease join us if you are interested in contributing your ideas and questions about how the relaunch of dance (in its many forms and environments) in Alberta ought to look under the provincial guidelines. \nThe information from the government is intentionally sparse and general so that citizens can meet the guidelines in a way that fits their practice and environment. The Alberta Dance Alliance recognizes that this lack of specificity has created some anxiety and uncertainty in our community. Therefore\, we are offering this community Zoom® meeting as a safe place for people to hear and to share with others the choices that members of our community are making to protect themselves and others if they’ve decided to return to work. \nPlease register in advance\, so we can tailor the experience to those who are planning on attending.
