These classes foster a sense of community for practicing professionals\, something valued in a province that feels isolated from other artistic hubs in the country. The classes anchor the collective and allow the artists to discover common interests in terms of physicality and movement qualities. Classes are consistently attended by both professional artists and members of the broader arts community\, meaning that this training benefits the talented and committed pool of professional dance artists in the community. GWDS instructors use body neutral\, judgment-free terminology and do not teach gendered roles to participants. \n  \n@Good Women Dance

Parents and caregivers are welcome to join us with their little ones (Age 0-5) to dance\, shake\, and move to the beat!  \nCome along with your preschooler and explore creative movement with the use of fun props and themes! Parents are welcome to watch or participate with your boy or girl as they move and groove to different musical rhythms. Children explore a variety of motor skills including marches\, gallops\, skips\, claps\, freeze in poses\, twirl ribbon sticks\, act out animals etc. All the while using their imagination to create movement. \n
