Alberta Dance Alliance provides ongoing support for professional development through consultation in career paths, grant support in research/preparation/editing, resume advice, information/consultants on resources in administration/business/production management and the support for PRO-ACTIVE Workshops for unique professional development in health and administration. Currently in development is a variety on-line resources such as the Survival Guide for Artists, a Production Management Tool Kit, and the Educational Artist in Residency Resource Kit – connecting to schools across the Province.
Alberta Dance Alliance hosts a program for career planning for students in public schools.
Alberta Dance Alliance hosts a JOBBANK employment registry for dance professionals, teachers, and companies.
Alberta Dance Alliance gives you current, up-to-date information through our Dancelines e-news system - and it is free! Just send us your e-mail address. In the future the ADA will extend this service to include a Community LINK chat room.
Alberta Dance Alliance members have access to the basic dance agreement from Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists (CADA) and contract service information through the ADA office.

Alberta Dance Alliance produces a Calendar of Dance each year with dance events, grant deadlines, and black and white photos of you - the Alberta dance community. Submission deadline for events and photos to go in the Calendar of Dance is July 7 of each year. This resource will be available in print as well as on-line.
Alberta Dance Alliance offers the PHOTO GALLERY with professional photographers for your performances. If you like the work you can view it in the gallery and purchase it directly from the photographer.
Alberta Dance Alliance will offer marketing and publicity resources for your next performance with a professional company – Bottom Line Productions in Calgary and Edmonton. This service is in the initial stages of development.
Alberta Dance Alliance Library hosts the Archival materials on dance, several community historical materials, photos and documents from Alberta pioneers in dance, current resource materials, limited videos/DVDs , a section of Dance Companies Packages from most of the Festivals, and a limited selection of books from Dance Collective Danse. Library material can be sent to any area of Alberta for a 3-week period.
Alberta Dance Alliance advocates and is a strong active voice with other municipal, provincial, and federal arts/dance service organizations for increased support to arts/dance in the public and private sector.
Alberta Dance Alliance advocates for the status of artists' issues, supports Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists (CADA) in their ongoing development of the basic dance agreement.
Alberta Dance Alliance advocates dance in education and is an active voice for dance in the Albertan and Canadian cultural and human resources sectors.
Alberta Dance Alliance supports the Independent Dance Artist Network that exists on an as need basis for the independent community. ADA has a representative for Status of the Artist with several organizations in Alberta and in Canada.
Alberta Dance Alliance advocates dance in education and is an active voice for dance in the Albertan and Canadian cultural and human resources sectors.
Alberta Dance Alliance advocates for the support of our national service organization Canadian Dance Assembly.
