Organization Description: The St. Paul & District Arts Foundation is a growing organization located in the beautiful Lakeland region. We offer a recreational dance program (Jete Dance Studio) from the months of September to May with incorporating summer workshops during the months of May to August. Currently, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Acro, and Hip Hop classes are offered in our facility and we are open to additional genres as they come available. Our goal is for our dancers to be continually inspired and challenged to learn and improve their dance technique in a fun and enjoyable environment. We encourage each student to work at their own personal best in a friendly and nurturing atmosphere. Our focus is for our children aged 3-18 to grow in the world of dance while also learning the life skills that are achieved through participating in dance.

Job Description: We are looking for a positive, passionate, enthusiastic and committed teacher. The instructor must be willing to work with other instructors in their specialized genre while maintaining the bases of a consistent ballet program to anchor the other disciplines. We are 50 dancers in a growing community. The successful candidate would work with administration, must communicate well with other instructors, students, and parents and be dedicated to the promotion of the club and the well being of our students.


  • strong technical background in ballet
  • background and understanding in pointe is a definite asset
  • experience in teaching both male and female students
  • experience in teaching ages 3 to 18 years of age (male and female), and teaching adults will be an asset
  • openness to student testing is desirable
  • certification or working towards the desire of certification in cecchetti, RAD, or American Ballet Theatre is preferred
  • knowledge of repertoire from the classical ballets
  • ability to prepare choreographed Nutcracker for a Christmas Production
  • ability to prepare choreographed routines for a spring showcase (solos/duets/trios/group)
  • ability to prepare (and be available for) students for festivals and competitions

Reflections Dance Studio is seeking a full time accredited RAD Ballet instructor within our Elite Company Competitive program Tier. As the lucky chosen applicant who has Canadian citizenship or proof of residency, you will be enthusiastic, possess good communication skills and have the ability to demonstrate well while maintaining an encouraging, positive, classroom environment. You will develop technical training to instill a love for dance in students of all ages and levels. Position requires experience in choreography for competition and year-end show performances. As a successful RAD Ballet candidate you must be proficient in preparing dancers for Graded to Vocational examinations. Ability to teach other genres would be an asset, but not a must. Medicine Hat College’s non-credit dance program within the Conservatory of Music and Dance is seeking to fill the following positions to build and achieve the passion and dreams of dancers:

As a member of the dance team, these positions will teach dance theory, demonstrate practical techniques for classes, and observe and offer suggestions to dance students of various ages on how to improve their dance techniques. These positions will also choreograph dance pieces for performance, direct rehearsals, organize performances for the community, and support and assist the dance team with the promotion and retention strategies of the Conservatory programs.

Dance Instructor positions commence September 1, 2017. Full time positions come with an attractive benefits package. Dance Instructor positions are annually renewable subject to performance reviews and student enrolments.

Recent years’ enrolments suggest the potential for significantly more than the 700 teaching hours over 32 weeks that constitutes a full-time position at the Conservatory. Remuneration is on an hourly fee-for- student/class basis. The hourly rate of pay will be dependent upon the incumbent’s qualifications and experience.

The Town of Beaumont is currently looking for a children’s dance instructor. This position is an opportunity to bring the joy of dance to young performers' lives. Grand Prairie, AB – Dance Instructors

I am looking for teaching graduates that would consider employment in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The position would ideally suit RAD registered teachers although it is not a prerequisite. Teachers also able to teach other disciplines such as Modern, Jazz, Tap, Acro or Hip Hop would be greatly desirable. If necessary, room and boarding may be arranged. This position would commence in August or September 2017.

The GP Dancer's Academy has been operating in Grande Prairie for over 27 years. The position could be from 25–35 hours per week depending on the candidate's abilities. Competitive choreography would be in addition to the regular classes. Compensation would be between $30 and $40 per hour depending on experience.
